Deep down, whether it be conscious or not, we all desire to be seduced.
The excitement, passion, uncertainty, and romance involved in seduction, so juxtaposed with our normal, predictable, and mundane lives, comes as a sigh of relief, making it a highly appealing prospect.
At the same time, however, one of our greatest fears is that of being duped, used, or disrespected by others.
As such, we are constantly battling between conflicting feelings of openness and paranoia.
We want to be seduced, but we are also fairly skeptical of those who attempt to win us over.
We are simultaneously open to seduction and closed off from it.
As consummate Seducers, this is an important obstacle in the human condition that we must learn to effectively manoeuvre.
