We are compelled by nature to move closer to what is different from us.

This can be seen most clearly in terms of our attraction to the opposite sex.

Men instinctively desire to explore and surround themselves with women.

The reverse is of course also true—women instinctively crave to explore and surround themselves with men.

These impulses inevitably carry over into our work, whereby both genders—but men especially so—look to the opposite gender as a source of creative inspiration and beauty.

There can be no doubt that this process is an effective one.

Many of the greatest artists throughout history have claimed that the uniqueness of their insights and the intensity of their passion stemmed largely from these muses.

However, we enlightened thinkers should not be confined by this concept.
